RnR’s white water rafting is a tour many people consider just a little too scary, however most don’t realise it’s an incredibly fun, bonding experience for people of all levels of fitness for a broad range of age groups. How Do I Get To Tully River?![]() Sense of Achievement Your exciting day of white water rafting starts with an accommodation pickup and a scenic drive to Tully, 1½ hours south of Cairns. The road snakes through the Great Dividing Range and passes the rainforest-clad peaks of Mt. Bellenden Ker and Mt Bartle Frere, Queensland’s highest mountains. After your exciting rafting adventure there will be time for you to re-live your day with the thrills, spills and laughs on video. You will enjoy light refreshments in the Rafter's den, before heading back to your accommodation. Is White Water Rafting Safe?![]() Worried About Safety? RnR Rafting have been operating for 17 years in Far North Queensland and guides are internationally trained and undergo rigorous in-house rafting training to ensure the utmost level of safety. Their custom made dolphin rafts are specifically developed to suit the tough elements of Tropical North Queensland and maintain their condition throughout the thrills and spills of white water rafting on the Tully River. White water rafting is broken into 6 grades. Tully River is the north’s guaranteed tropical white knuckle adventure with rapids up to grade 4. Experience some difficult rapids with high, powerful, irregular waves set amongst world heritage rainforest. The grading is based on the difficulty of the rapids with grade 4 constant maneuvering of rafts is required to negotiate rapids. Safety is a major concern with all RnR guides. RnR offers the highest quality equipment and a safety training lesson will be presented before you venture out onto the Tully River. Life jackets, helmets and spray jackets are provided and are essential elements for the Tully River.
